Third entry – chicken move

Howdy y’all, this will be my third entry. Woohoo!!! I gotta keep this up. This past month has been kind of slow on the farm. All the plants are growing, chickens are grazing, and I realized that I hardly ever post anything about my cattle. I have to get on this. The thing is that my cattle are on pasture and they are just naturally grazing and totally free ranging. Our pasture move is at the end of the month, I am committing to next month’s post on the pasture change and to give an update on the Laughing Goat cattle (should they be laughing cattle?) 😂😂😂.

Ok. With that being said. This month I have something different for my post. A cocktail if you will for my readers and for my viewers. I’ve been recording videos for the past few months now and I’ve never posted them, I left them on my phone and moved them to storage. I figured it’s time to get a video out. These are raw footage of the videos. My thinking is that if you are going to see a farm you might as well see it how it is. No video editing, just straight from my phone to this post.

That was fun I didn’t have to worry about them running off. It also helped that they know their waterer and their coop. I feel pretty confident that from now on if I have to, I can move put the fence down and move it without worrying about my chickens running off.

This was a fun experiment. If you follow me regularly you know that this year has been my year for experimentation. Some worked while others did not. The ones that worked out I will for sure be implementing them into the farm next year. An example is the seeding of the veggie seeds. I feel like this summer is about to be cut short here. The sunlight is gaining a bit more yellow and the breeze is becoming cooler day by day. I am still hopeful though, that I will have watermelon 😂😂😂. Thank you all for taking a moment out of your time to read and/or to watch my post. Don’t forget to subscribe to my blog posts for my monthly updates. For now, it is a monthly update. I am hoping to get it to every two weeks.

Thank you all very much once again. Hopefully you learned something. Until next time. Take it easy y’all. ✌🏼✌🏼- JK
