100% Wool Pellets

Over the weekend, Laughing Goat Gardens ran their first ever wool pellet production with the help of a local small business owner that specializes in making wool pellets. We were able to get 80 pounds of wool pellets from our small herd of sheep. We tested mohair as well and I believe we will be experimenting with mohair more in the near future. We are currently working on our label to start selling our wool pellets.
Features and Benefits of Wool Pellets:
- Water Retention
- Nutrient-Rich
- pH Buffering
- Sustainability
Wool pellets are a source of slow-release nutrients such as nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium. These nutrients can benefit plant growth. Wool has excellent water-holding capacity, helping the soil retain moisture and reducing the need for frequent watering. They can help regulate soil pH, making it more suitable for a wide range of plants. Wool pellets are an Eco-friendly choice, as they are a byproduct of the wool industry and are biodegradable. For best results, mix into the soil or work into the soil.
